Art Festivals, Markets and Fairs

There is nothing better than sharing the story of a piece of wood in person. While MendoMadrone is a personal passion, not a large production, we love bringing our work to a few special events throughout the year.

Our work is a direct reflection of our Mendocino property—each bowl and vessel is unique, turned from locally salvaged wood. This means our inventory is always limited, making each show a distinct and special occasion.

We enjoy a mix of prestigious juried art festivals and beloved local events where we can connect with our community. We are honored to have been a part of: Palo Alto Festival of the Arts, Gualala Art in the Redwoods, Salem Arts Festival (OR), Paso Robles Art in the Park, Bodega Seafood, Art & Wine Festival, Art in the Gardens (Mendocino) and the Healdsburg's Craft & Christmas Markets.

For 2026, we’re participating in the following events:

62nd Annual Kings Mountain Art Fair

We are thrilled to be attending the Kings Moutain Art Fair for the first time! To celebrate our debut, we are bringing a special collection of Madrone wood turnings, a species prized for its incredibly dense grain and "marble-like" finish.

Often called the "Arbutus" of the West Coast, Madrone is notoriously difficult to work with due to its high moisture content and tendency to warp. However, when expertly turned and seasoned, it reveals a stunning range of colors—from creamy pinks to deep burnt oranges. Stop by our booth to see how we’ve transformed this challenging, beautiful California hardwood into one-of-a-kind bowls and vessels that are as smooth as stone.
